Luke Damon Goss was born on September 29th 1968 in London England, two months premature and eleven minutes before his twin brother Matt.

Luke's parents divorced when the boys were only 5 years old. It was two years later that their mother met her future husband, Tony Philips and his two children Carolyn and Adam. Sadly Carolyn was killed by a drunk driver when she was only 18 years old.

In 1987 Luke met a beautiful backing singer named Shirley Lewis who had a young daughter named Carli, from a previous marriage. They were married in 1994 and have remained together ever since.

In 1993 Luke wrote his autobiography, "I Owe You Nothing". It spent several weeks on the top 10 best sellers list and went on to have three subsequent printings. Currently out of print, it remains as an audio book voiced by Luke himself.

In January 2007 Luke and Shirley moved permanently to LA, but still keep a home in London.

I have nothing against the band, but I feel I've forged an identity that's very much based on my acting career, not what I was doing as a teenager.

Luke, alongside his twin brother Matt, started his career with the hugely successful 1980s pop band Bros.

Bros received the Brit award for British Breakthrough Act, and won the Smash Hits Poll Award for Best Video. Spanning five successful years, and two world tours, they charted thirteen hit singles in the UK.

When Bros broke up in the early 1990's Luke formed the Band of Thieves, producing four singles.

I'm definitely going to be an actor for the rest of my life, without a doubt! I've never been happier in my life.

In 1996, Luke took on the lead role as Jeff the airline pilot in the musical play "Plan 9 From Outer Space", based on an Ed Wood screenplay.

In Feb 1997 he starred in the touring musical 'What A Feeling', which played to full houses all over the UK.

Taking the role of Danny Zuko in the highly successful West End production of "Grease", he went on to front the touring show, which was voted the most successful British tour two years in a row.

Luke went on to present his own shows on MTV and VH1, interviewed Michael Caine for an American TV network, recorded radio plays for the BBC, as well as being the face of Hyundai Cars for their TV advertising campaign.

Luke's was offered his first movie role in 2000 on "Two Days, Nine Lives". Over the next year he also played a role on the TV show "The Stretch" and in as Christian in "Love Life".

2002 Established Luke as a screen actor in David Goyers "ZigZag" with John Leguizamo, Oliver Platt, Natasha Lyonne and Wesley Snipes and as the lead villain in Guillermo del Toro's supernatural action film "Blade II" working alongside Ron Pearlman and Wesley Snipes.

The following year he landed the lead role in the critically acclaimed British Gangster film "Charlie", as well as a chilling role as The Creature in the Emmy award winning Hallmark miniseries "Frankenstein" co-starring with Donald Sutherland and William Hunt.

In 2005 Luke traveled to India for an unforgettable role as King Xerxes in "One Night With The King" starring alongside Omar Sharif and Peter O'Toole.

It was in 2008 when Luke would see one of his most critically acclaimed roles as the lead villain, Prince Nuada, in Guillermo del Toro's action packed sequel "Hellboy II: The Golden Army". This movie opened at number one at the U.S. box office and Luke received 2 MTV Movie Nominations for this role.

The past few years have been busy for Luke. He starred as Steve Fox in the movie adaption of the popular video game "Tekken" and also took the lead role in "Pressed" and the Syfy TV movie "Witchville" as well as taking his first role for Network Television in JJ Abrams "Fringe".

Luke recently completed leading roles "Across the Line: Exodus of Charlie Wright" alongside Aidan Quinn, Andy Garcia, and Mario Van Peebles; "Blood Out" with Val Kilmer and Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson.

He firmly took hold of the Death Race franchise with his leading role as Carl Lucas in Death Race II.

2012 promises to be packed with action, suspense and drama from Luke as he delivers diverse performances in "Inside", "Seven Below", "Interview With a Hitman" and Death Race III.

On November 5th 2009 Luke launched his own production company, G Productions.

The reason I did it is to have ownership. It's just a way of guaranteeing some kind of ownership in the product and to have a creative say without crossing any line or stepping into anybody else's territory. The message is, that we're making this because we want it to be good and retain integrity; we don't intend to compromise quality. To me, that's a great side of producing.

I think there's an ethos that has to kind of flow through the films you make - raising money and how you deal with people; trying to make people involved with the film feel secure; making the movie; treating people a certain way on set, then getting the movie out there and trying to make sure the people hear about it, see it, and have fun along the way in every aspect of it. It really needs to be signatory of how we work at G Productions.
